Mindfulness Teacher Training Course comes to a close. Trainees response

MTTC. Next 12 month Course starts June 2025.

You can see the link to our website with details of the MTTC starting in early June 2025.

We had participants from 16 countries around the world. People developed beautiful friendships through the year, which will continue.

Our 90-minute closing session included senior teachers’ reflection on the year and an invitation to participants to share a few words with us all.

Zoom transcribed the audio recording into the Chat column. Nshorna, five assistant teachers, Jude (MTTC Administrator) and myself appreciated the kind words.

I selected sentences from Saturday’s Chat column.

Below, you will see quotes from participants on their experience of the year. First-hand experience can give inspiration and insights into the priority of the Course – much more preferable than we, the teachers, blowing our own trumpet.

Our next MTTC starts in early June 2025 to early June 2026.

Edit of Responses of MTTC Participants October 2023- October 2024

  • I am so grateful for this year. I am into a totally different era of life.
  • Never forget you are making this world a bit of a better place. I don’t know of a happier way to live.
  • Thank you for the expansive view of mindfulness beyond the confines of self-improvement and technicalities of meditation.
  • My small group has been the greatest gift. It provided a safe community where I have been able to heal.
  • The course really provides a wonderful model on how to spread mindfulness in our society
  • The course is really well organized with a lot of tools for every dimension of daily life.
  • My understanding has deepened not only in the Dharma in general…but, most importantly, in the human heart and experience itself.
  • Teachers wrote (a post) of various things we might experience. I thought ‘I want more of that in my life’. The post was accurate.
  • May we all live up to the invitation to become agents of change!
  • An Aztec aphorism: “it is slippery on the surface of this earth.” We learn how to move through life maintaining balance.
  • I feel really grateful, blessed and inspired to have met you all.
  • Thank you for sharing about writing poetry for your unborn child.
  • This course inspired me to quit my job.
  • Every time I hug a tree I think of the MTTC.
  • Deep gratitude to all of you.
  • Thank you Christopher, Nshorna, assistant teachers, Jude and all the participants who contributed such a wealth of experience in such a spirit of mutual care and interest.
