A Pilgrimage in the Sahara Desert. 20 February – 3 March 2023. With Denis Robberechts

A SILENT CARAVAN
Walking and meditation in the Sahara Desert in Morocco for Nine Days
20 February – 3 March 2023.

I wish to encourage readers to join Denis on a remarkable pilgrimage (Sanskrit: Yatra) in the vast expanse of the desert. With other teachers, Denis and I have co-led yatras in the foothills of the French Pyrenees.

• This walk will be a pilgrimage into the expanse of sky above meeting earth below.
• A walk to meet ourselves,
• In the spirit of desert mysticism.

This is a nine-day pilgrimage in the desert. We will be accompanied by a guide Amazigh and chameliers with their camels.

We will plunge into this universe of breathtaking beauty. The harmonious bareness of the sand dunes undulate as far as the eye can see to awaken our love of simplicity. The desert, through its relentless language, revives in us the knowledge of a pure, timeless joy.

To accompany this song of the soul, we will practice mindfulness, and meditate regularly, nourished by teachings from the Buddha, as well as other traditions. We will explore self-knowledge, letting go and the emptiness revealing what is vast.

The teachings will be suitable for beginners and those with much experience in mindfulness and meditation.
Walking in the sand of the desert is easier than you think.

Denis Robberechts will facilitate this nature pilgrimage. He lived and studied in India for several years, and he has been teaching meditation in France and abroad since 2005. Denis made many pilgrimages walking in the Himalayas as part of his spiritual practice. He has taught many pilgrimages (yatras) in France, ski walking yatras in Austria and a previous pilgrimage in the Sahara Desert.

Teachings available in English and French.

Information and registration, plus beautiful photos.
