I fly to Israel on April 11, 2011 and return to the UK on May 3. I first visited Israel in 1992. It will be 20 years of annual visits along with regular visits to Nablus in the occupied territories. 2011 marks the year of the Arab awakening in several Arab countries. There are no signals of any indication of a change in Israel’s political/military policy towards Palestinians in the West Bank or Gaza in the past two decades or before.
Tovana, the Dharma network, in Israel continues to make available a wide number of Dharma programmes throughout the year . Tovana kindly invites me to engage in a dialogue with thoughtful Israelis making contributions to the region. On May 1st in Tel Aviv, I will discuss movement and deep well being with Arye Burstein, a leading choreographer and Gestalt psychotherapist, and I will meet for a public dialogue with Avrum Burg on May 2nd (Memorial Day for the Holocaust) on “Overcoming Hitler” to explore his radical analysis on the Holocaust and its impact on Israeli values and our relationship of our past to the present. See info below. (I will be visiting that Place of Horror in Poland in September 2011).
