50 Ways to End the Trump regime. Plus One

A Basic Blueprint to end Trump’ s America.

Any one or two of the following suggestions could trigger the resignation of Donald Trump.

A real alternative is necessary. The Democrats do not offer this alternative.

I take the view that current capitalism continues to destroy the Earth – regardless of who is US President.

50 Ways to End the Trump regime. Plus One

  1. Alliances. Political parties, political activists, networks, people of faith, NGO’s (non-government organisations), educational establishments etc. to form alliances to make Trump’s America ungovernable.
  2. American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). To reveal documents and expose illegal government actions.
  3. Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against USA for acts of international terrorism. BDS campaign currently gets directed to Israeli government for the Occupation of Palestine and alleged war crimes.

  19. Divestment. A divestment is the opposite of an investment. Divestment is the reduction of assets for corrupt financial or political objectives of a government or business.
  20. Drones. To stop ongoing secret killing of suspects in Muslim countries along with families and villagers. Such constitute international acts of terror.
  21. Exposure of Abuse. Campaign to end abuse of citizens, whether domestic, guns, police, landlords etc.
  22. Lawsuits. File Lawsuits against Trump to address sexual abuse, tax avoidance, and corruption, abuse of human/environmental rights, international agreements etc.
  23. Freedom of Information Act. To develop the law that gives citizens a right to know the decisions and actions of their government.
  24. Fundamental rights of all US residents. Citizens have the right to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom to assemble –  as clearly stated in the First Amendment.
  25. Geneva Conventions. US to apply this international agreement to all detainees worldwide.

Finally:

  1. US Acts of War. World War 2 was the last time that Congress officially declared war on another country. War consists of military incursions into other countries. USA engages in war with Muslim countries and currently seems to be looking for a confrontation with China. The power to wage war needs to be removed from the President.

  1. Great ideas! Thanks.

Because it is founded upon divisiveness and hate, and so must have ‘enemies’, trumpism must eventually turn upon itself. It will collapse.

But only after untold suffering is unleashed upon the planet.

  2. You suggest that buddhist teachers should bow out of politics because their responses are unrealistic – appealing to the basic goodness of human nature etc, but surely your “basic blueprint” though admirable is also totally unrealistic!! The only thing that can rescue humanity from its current trajectory into the abyss is a revolution is consciousness from a paradigm of separateness to one of interconnectedness. Promoting that revolution is the “sacred activism ” of progressive spiritual movements including contemporary buddhism. As a complementary arm of traditional social activism or even, more importantly, as an inspiration for it, that “sacred activism ” is indispensable.
